Community
Insight students can make connections with teachers, students and other Oregon families—both face-to-face and through virtual means.
A vibrant learning community enriches the high school experience. While some Insight students are self-sufficient and desire little support, others may seek more structure, guidance, encouragement and collaboration.
How can you make meaningful connections as an Insight School of Oregon student?
- Stay linked with your iSupport team. Your iMentor and instructors all share the same goal—your success. Call on them as needed.
- Include your family. Parent participation greatly contributes to your success.
- Get involved in your local community. Because Insight is so flexible, you’ll have more time to explore volunteer opportunities, community sports, and job internships.
- Attend school social events. Occasional dances, periodic field trips and graduation ceremonies will be held throughout the state of Oregon. These events are facilitated by Insight Community Coordinators. Yes, there will be a prom!
- Join student clubs and organizations. Become a writer for the student newspaper, hone your communication skills as a member of the debate team, or start your own school club.
