The Insight team has collectively designed, built and/or led online high school programs that have educated more than 1,000,000 students. By Fall of 2008, Insight will have 11 schools in 10 states operational throughout the country. Our largest school in Washington State has a student body in excess of 1,000 students and has graduated two senior classes. Insight Schools is a subsidiary of the Apollo Group, as is the University of Phoenix, the largest private accredited University in the country. Each Insight school benefits from economies of scale, professional management, and ongoing investment in research and development of industry-leading best practices in online learning.
High school is different. Insight Schools is uniquely focused on grades 9 through 12. We help our students approach high school with the end in mind, crafting programs to fulfill their specific after-high school aspirations.
Our Team is committed to working with students and parents and school districts in an ongoing partnership. We know student success hinges on our ability to support all aspects of a student’s educational career and our staff is dedicated to helping our students reach their academic potential.
Our team consists of:
- Head of School, J.D. McMahan, who provides vision and educational leadership to the school and ensures that families and students receive quality service and support so that they can be successful. Read J.D.'s full biography.
- iMentors, who serve as the primary contact for each student and family and coordinate with the rest of the iSupport team.
- Instructors, certified professionals who provide subject matter expertise for Insight's online courses.
- Admissions Counselors and Special Education Coordinators, who work with Oregon families to enroll students, schedule courses, and respond to special education needs.
- The Insight support staff, which provide student services, fulfillment and administrative support.
